Jayla Matthews is a writer-director from Washington, DC. This past May she graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television Production. Over the past four years, she has dedicated herself to telling stories about complex relationships surrounding flawed individuals. With three films under her belt, The Eating William, Space, and now Love Language, she finds her artistic voice as a way to start a conversation around emotional vulnerability. Currently, she is based in Brooklyn as a freelance writer and assistant director.
