The first time Farah saw an exorcism, she was 8 years old, and so began a love affair with low budget horror cinema; her gateway drug for indie filmmaking. Now based in NYC, she produces and directs documentary and narrative films, music videos, commercials, and every now and then when the stars align, writes for TV (please note that she has yet to work on anything scary).

She is a fellow at Film Independent’s Producing Lab, alum at Mentorship Matters (Amazon/Sony), The Thousand Miles Project (UCP) and the Asian-American Stories of Resilience programme (PBS/A-Docs). When she isn’t working, you can find her between London and Kuala Lumpur, the latter of which she misses just a tad more because it’s where her pet rooster Hector resides.
