Rey is a sous chef in a fast-paced New York City restaurant. Elle, her long-term partner, works from home as an artist. As Rey grows more overworked and overtired, the pair struggle to navigate the hurtful divide that burnout has created in their relationship. When Rey takes her stress out on Elle in a late night argument, she must journey inward to rediscover the passion they once had.

Hillia Aho is an artist and filmmaker, originally from Midcoast Maine, now splitting her time between Brooklyn, NY and Vancouver, BC. Her short films have screened in festivals across the US, Canada, and Europe. Her work explores human connection, disconnection, solitude, and our relationship to the natural world.

Hillia is currently a thesis student in the Graduate Film Program at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts.
