Ella Gibney grew up in New Jersey. She attended Bard college where she majored in photography which honed her craft as a visual artist. After graduating she bounced around to several odd jobs from being a barista to a deckhand on fishing boats. She then started working on a few movie sets as an assistant camera person. Now in her third year at NYU Grad Film, Ella is telling stories of the unusual and strange because the world we live in today can be very bazaar.
