Synopsis: This is a short film about Frank, who has dementia, and about the pain and suffering he goes through everyday. Some days he is accepting while others he is completely stubborn. Frank is introduced to us drawing at a desk listening to music (his happy place) until he is disrupted by Julie (his acclaimed daughter). The next day Julie comes back and introduces Leslie (a at home aid) Frank is upset that Julie has arranged for this. All of the sudden as Frank is confused as Leslie disappears. As Frank is confused tries to sleep it off but ends up having a nightmare and then at the end of the film he “wakes up” finding out that he is living in an assisted living facility and his nurse is (Julie).

Dylan Louie is a Fourth year undergraduate student at the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at New York University. This past summer Dylan was an Electrician on City on Fire, and Law and Order: SVU. Dylan is a current Set PA on Saturday Night Live Season ‘47. Dylan has worked (in the camera department) on numerous professional productions including Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Almost Family. Dylan has DP’d numerous projects ranging from Narrative short films to music videos for the United Nation Chamber Music Society. In addition Dylan has worked as the First Assistant Camera with award winning Director of Photography John Marean and award winning Writer and Director Debra Markowitz. Dylan has also written, directed, and edited multiple short films of his own. He is a graduate of Fiorello LaGuardia’s High school of performing arts in the Technical Theatre studio. During his four years at LaGuardia, he worked on over 30 productions. In his senior year he specialized in set design where he designed the set for the annual talent show. In addition Dylan was the Associate Set Designer for the all school musical, The Sound of Music.
