Tarek has been refused asylum in Denmark and has chosen to flee with his younger brothers to avoid repatriation. Without a destination or any money, they have travelled south to get into Germany before they are caught. On their way they have found a kitten that provides them a peace of mind that otherwise does not exist in their lives.

Lasse Ulvedal Tolbøll is a director and cinematographer from Odder, Denmark. He first gained interest in filmmaking during high school shooting skate videos with his friends before slowly transitioning into making short fictional and experimental narratives. He went on to study media science at the Southern University of Denmark. After living in Taiwan for six months, he started a masters program in Film and Media at the University of Copenhagen but dropped out when he was accepted into the grad film program at Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. He is now based in New York City where he is an HBO sponsored BAFTA Scholar. Lasse was the 2018 recipient of the Volker Bahnemann Award for outstanding cinematography.
