Raed Alsemari is a writer/director based in NYC and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His film Dunya's Day received the Short Film Jury Award for International Fiction at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. Before attending NYU, Raed obtained his BA in History and Literature from Harvard University with a focus on Postcolonial Studies.
