Austin S. Harris is a New York-based writer, performer, and filmmaker. Austin's past projects include Dal Segno, a short he co-directed that was official selection at NFFTY; Pants Role, a web series co-created with Sam Block and Emory Parker that won Best Web Series at the Fusion Film Festival, and Jordan Presents, a film Austin also acted in that was a finalist at NYU's New Visions & Voices Festival and won two Craft Awards (including Best Lead Actor for Austin). He enjoys writing and performing sketch comedy, is a contributor for The Huffington Post, and is currently an assistant at 20/20. In May of 2017, Austin won the Lorraine Hansberry/Ralph Ellison Arts, Performance, and Media Award from the NYU Center for Multicultural Education and Programs, an award that recognizes a student who has worked to promote the diverse representation of people of color in the arts, entertainment and media.
