Hunter Whaley was born in Grand Junction, a small town in Western Colorado that is also, incidentally, cursed. With no access to film equipment, Hunter turned to theater as a creative outlet. But his true passion was always film, so after graduating early, shooting a movie outdoors in the middle of a snowstorm, and collecting all the required jars of dirt to break the aforementioned curse, he swapped his Old West environs for the big city, eager to learn his craft. Now, with his final film at Tisch, he aims to build upon all he has learned during his time at NYU while calling back to his Colorado roots to create a project both intensely personal and, hopefully, universal.
