Being an adventurer, Xiuzhi was originally from Beijing. He then achieved his BFA degree from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and 35mm Film Summer Program certificate from FAMU, one of the most prestigious film schools in Europe. With his multi-culture background, Xiuzhi is dedicated to exploring and depicting universal values that go beyond language barriers.
His short film, The Visit, won Award of Merit at Best Shorts Competition. The film has since screened in Cannes international film festival and The Big Apple Film Festival. His next short film, The Carpenters, is ready for the circle again.
