Tati Barrantes was born in Peru and raised in Los Angeles. Her multi-cultural background has been her biggest influence in her creative career, inspiring her to create films that explore the confluence of culture and place. While completing her MFA at NYU's Graduate Film Program, Tati has directed and produced multiple short films, features and a myriad of commercials, fashion and music videos. Her short film Tiempo al Tiempo screened nationally at festivals, winning the Jury Award at the 2011 Method Festival and the 92YTribeca Film Slam. Her last short Adirake won the Special Jury Award at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. Tati is based in New York and Los Angeles.
