The relationship between a journalist and his subject, a former Bollywood child star who now drives an autorickshaw, is tested over the course of a day.

Born and raised in Madras, India, Anand received his Bachelor's degree in visual communication from Loyola College (Madras). Afterwhich, he worked as an assistant director in South India for two years, and went on to complete a cinematography course at Mindscreen Film Institute.

He has worked as the director of photography on short projects shot throughout the world, including the USA, Cambodia, India, China, Taiwan and Singapore. His work on the short film, BLACK HORN NIGHT HERON, directed by Miriam Ditchfield, premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2013. His work on MONG won him Best Student Cinematographer (Runner-up) at the Palm Springs Short Fest 2012.

His previous short film, 'Raman' (as writer/director) was a finalist at NYU's First Run Film Festival (2013) and also won craft awards for direction, editing, cinematography and production design. 'Disco Obu' is his thesis project.

Anand is currently working for YM movies in Chennai where he is working as an assistant director on a Virtual Reality project.
