Bell is a lonely, twenty-something street guy living in Shanghai. One day, wandering around in a run-down and stinky under path, he sees a pair of bright red heels passing by. The color stimulates something deep in his heart. Out of curiosity, he starts to follow its owner across the city of Shanghai and ends up in an old club where he discovers a forbidden community that he has never experienced with, hence begins to realize his hidden desires.

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Bell has developed a magnetic passion for cinema ever since he watched Tsai Ming-liang's films and was inspired to be a director who creates visually challenging films on Contemporary Chinese in urban cities. Bell earned his BA degree in philosophy at the prestigious Tsing Hua University. He's currently pursuing his Master degree in Film Production at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and is taught by celebrated independent filmmakers such as Todd Solondz and Alex Rockwell. "Blooming Night" is his first short film.
