We are pleased to announce that UGFTV Alum Talia Smith's ('19) film Umama has won a Student Academy Award. The film was produced in Professor Rick Litvin's Advanced Production class and received Second Prize in the Undergraduate category at the 2020 First Run Film Festival. At a virtual ceremony on October 21st, the Academy will announce the level of the three winners (Gold, Silver, Bronze).
Regardless of the level, all of the winning films will qualify for the Academy Award in Best Live Action Short Film.
