The Kanbar Institute’s Undergraduate Film & Television Department at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts seeks to fill a full-time position on the (non-tenure) Assistant Arts Professor track in Animation to begin in September 2020.
Qualifications: Animator with solid professional production experience; an in-depth knowledge of traditional and digital and/or CGI animation, as well as teaching experience at the university level. Applicants must know the animation process from storyboard to post-production.
In addition to a significant body of professional creative work, the candidate should be prepared to participate fully in the program as well as in other functions of the University, as required.
Faculty members will teach 5 courses per year (generally assigned as 3 in one semester and 2 in the other semester), advise undergraduate students, and participate in departmental and/or school-wide committees. Ongoing professional work is encouraged and expected.
Salary, to be negotiated, includes excellent benefits package.
