Virtual Production Series: Incentives for Crowdfunding

Seed & Spark : The Psychology in Incentives for Crowdfunding

The Production Office presents a series of virtual events with filmmaking experts and resources as our Spring 2022 Production Fair, held over zoom this semester. Open to all!

This year, we'll also be throwing in some fun prizes for our students as a thank you for attending!  At each session, we will give out 1 card reader to an attendee chosen at random. Attend 2 or more events for a chance to win an AC kit. The AC kit winners will be announced the following week. RSVP to attend.

There’s more to crowdfunding incentives than throwing your project logo on merch! In this workshop, Seed&Spark’s Bri Castellini will dig deep on how to determine the best incentives to offer based on your project and who you’re trying to reach, as well as how to make them work FOR you instead of against you.

Seed&Spark connects people through stories that matter. Since 2012, their platform has helped thousands of creators bring stories to life and to audiences via story-centric crowdfunding, free education, impact distribution, community events, and workplace programs that cultivate a culture of equity and inclusion.

Bri Castellini is the Film Community Manager for Seed&Spark, an independent filmmaker, and, regrettably, a podcaster. She's known for the 2017 short film Ace and Anxious (writer/director, 150k+ views on YouTube) and for her podcasts Burn, Noticed and Breaking Out of Breaking In, covering the USA television show Burn Notice and practical filmmaking advice, respectively. She can lick her elbow (not clickbait). Full work history can be found on her website BriCastellini.com

Some sessions may be recorded, but we really hope you can make it to the live event. For all questions, please email production.office@nyu.edu

If you haven't already, please enter our social raffle for a chance to win one of three hard drives! Directions on how to win can be found on the grid of our Kanbar FTV Production instragram account.
