Fusion Stays Home: A Conversation with Anna Konkle

Fusion Stays Home Presents: Anna Konkle

Fusion Stays Home

The Fusion Film Festival team announces Fusion Stays Home, a summer lecture and conversation series. Fusion’s 2020 festival planned for this past April was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19, and the Fusion team is now building a summer of programming so that we may continue our mission of uplifting the voices of women and non-binary creators despite being unable to meet in person.

Fusion is excited to reveal its first Fusion Stays Home event of the summer: a Conversation with Anna Konkle (of "PEN15 "& "Rosewood"). The event will be moderated by Erin Dugan, a Tisch Drama alum, actor, and comedian who most recently appeared on The Chris Gethard Show. Attendees will have time to ask their own questions.

Anna Konkle is an Emmy-nominated writer, actress, and showrunner. She is best known for her role on “Rosewood” and for co-creating and co-starring in Hulu’s adult comedy “PEN15,” alongside Maya Erskine. Konkle and Erskine are both alumni of NYU Tisch and met during their junior year. The series won a Gotham Award for Breakthrough Series and was nominated for a primetime Emmy, two WGA Awards, and a Critics Choice Award. Time recognized “PEN15” as one of 12 Exciting New TV Shows created by women, and Entertainment Weekly called it “Eighth Grade’s weirder sharper cousin.” Its second season is expected to be released sometime this year.

Fusion is excited to continue to celebrate women and non-binary creatives in film, television, and new media, and we hope you will join us in doing so this summer.
