Alumnus Alfonso is a Caribbean American filmmaker born and raised in the Bronx. His Advanced film "Champions" (2018) won the Wasserman King Award. Alfonso shot his family's home town of Dajabon in Dominican Republic. He is a 2019-20 Henry Luce Scholar.
