FRAN KIRMSER: MAKE DANCE YOUR BUSINESS

Is a two time Tony Award winning Broadway Producer who began producing theater in the West Village. She currently serves as Executive Producer for the film Lombardi with Legendary Pictures that originally hailed from a theatrical series she conceived and produced on Broadway. Additional Broadway credits include; August Wilson’s Radio Golf, Hair, Glengarry Glen Ross, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. As a development specialist Fran has worked with artists such as Shen Wei, Lucinda Childs, Pascal Rioult, Doug Varone, Francesca Harper among others. Teaching credits include master classes at The New School, Columbia, Fordham, The Field, Commercial Theater Institute as well as universities across the country. Fran has served on funding panels including the New York Foundation for the Arts, and is currently serving as a Tony Voter in this 2016-17 Season. Having started out her performing arts career as a young professional dancer and self- produced choreographer, her passion is teaching self-producing and fundraising to emerging artists and helping them to realize their projects to stage!  www.frankirmser.com

LUKE MURPHY

Originally from Cork City, Luke is a performer and choreographer based between Cork, New York and Brussels.
Luke has danced with Ultima Vez since 2014 touring internationally in productions of In Spite of Wishing and WantingBooty Looting and Spiritual Unity and Punchdrunk since 2009, performing leading roles in the original casts of Sleep No More in Shanghai (‘16-‘17), New York City (’11-‘15) as well as productions of The Drowned Man in London and Sleep No More in Boston. In addition he has danced in the companies of Martha Clarke, Kate Weare, Pavel Zustiak and in projects with John Kelly, John Scott, Jonah Bokaer, Erik Hawkins Dance Company and Bill T Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Company.
​Luke’s own work has been supported by various commissions, awards and residencies internationally including Arts Council of Ireland, Cork City Council, CultureIreland, New England Foundation for the Arts National Dance Project, Kaatsbaan International Dance Centre, Pavilion Theatre, Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Irish Arts Centre, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, DanceLimerick, Cork County Council, Tipperary Dance Platform, Tribeca Performing Arts Centre, Duo Multicultural Arts Centre and others.
He has created and performed four evening length works throughout Ireland, UK and USA (Drenched 2012, Icarus 2013, Your Own Man/Mad Notions 2015, On Triumph and Trauma 2016).
Luke founded Attic Projects in 2014 as an umbrella for his various independent projects in dance, film and theatre. Luke is the producer and director of The Catch8 Workshop Series in Cork City.
​Attic Projects is Company-In-Residence at Firkin Crane where Luke also serves as Dancer in Residence for Cork.
Luke trained at Point Park University where he earned his BFA in Dance and English in 2009 and University of Chichester where he earned an MA in Choreography in 2017.

CAMDEN LOESER: BOB FOSSE MASTERCLASS

Born and raised in southern Maine, Camden is a professional dancer based in New York City, where he is currently training in the BFA Dance program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Through NYU Camden has danced for numerous reputable artists including Bobbi Jean Smith, and Loni Landon, as well as performed in Trisha Brown's ’Set and Reset/Reset’ under the direction of Diane Madden of the Trisha Brown Dance Company. This past year Camden traveled the country in the 2017 National Touring Production of the 2013 Broadway Revival of PIPPIN, for which he served as the Dance Captain, as well as understudy for Pippin and Lewis. Additionally, Camden has trained with Chet Walker, choreographer of PIPPIN and co-conceiver of FOSSE, at the School at Jacob’s Pillow, as well as worked with Mr. Walker recently on the workshop for THE LAST SCRAPBOOK: The Jack Cole Project. In addition to performing, Camden is an aspiring choreographer. This upcoming year Camden will act as Associate Choreographer to Mia Michaels for the National Touring Production of FINDING NEVERLAND The Musical.

TARAMARIE PERRI: YOGA

Perri is Founder and Director of Mind Body Dancer®, a community of teachers and students of yoga studies. Her mission was to create a unique educational environment combining pedagogy, research, consulting, and outreach. Since 2009, Perri has trained and mentored a team of Mind Body Dancer-licensed teachers, wellness professionals, and researchers working across the US and abroad.  She has implemented and customized yoga and mind/body wellness programs in commercial studios, gyms, performing arts schools, and higher education environments. Graduates of the nationally recognized Mind Body Dancer Yoga Pedagogy Courses have established a trusted presence in the yoga and performing arts environments through educational residencies, private services, and open classes. Perri has been consulted for her expertise in periodicals such as Pointe Magazine and Dance Teacher Magazine. She embarked on her yoga studies in 1997, began teaching yoga in 2004, and maintains private practices in New York City and Brooklyn. Perri performed professionally with numerous ballet, contemporary, and dance theater companies. Her choreography and costume designs have been critically acclaimed inThe New Yorker and The Village Voice, among other publications. Concurrent with her work in the arts, education, and research, Perri was Senior Account Manager at Siemens Healthcare Services where she developed her passion for technology, business, and healthcare (1998 – 2006).

Sumi Clements received her BFA in Dance from the University of California at Santa Barbara where she was the recipient of the Patricia Sparrow Scholarship & Corwin Award for Choreography. She subsequently moved to New York where she was a member of Peter Kyle Dance and involved in various projects around the city before returning to study at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Upon receiving her MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, she went on to co-found Summation Dance, showing work at Jacob’s Pillow, BAM, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Judson Memorial Church, Danspace at St. Mark’s Church, the 92nd St Y, Baruch College, La Mama, FlicFest at the Irondale Center, and Dance New Amsterdam, among others. She currently dances for Crossman Dans(c)e, has worked with Gerald Casel Dance Company and Sarah Holmes Danceworks, and has performed in the works of Doug Varone, Alwin Nikolais, Kyle Abraham, Andrea Miller and Sydney Skybetter. Sumi is on faculty during the summers at Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop in Colorado, and is a Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) graduate.

Taryn is originally from Wisconsin where she received her BS in Dance, English Literature, and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She moved to New York to study at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she received her MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography. Taryn has produced and performed in Summation's annual NYC seasons at notable venues such as Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC), Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and Judson Memorial Church, among others. She has shown her own choreography at BAC, Danspace at St. Mark's Church, Judson Memorial Church, and Peridance. With Summation, Taryn has toured nationally, choreographed and facilitated large-scale movement choirs, and taught master classes and set repertory at universities across the country. She has also been involved in projects with GERALD CASEL DANCE and Laura Peterson Choreography and performed the works of Andrea Miller/Gallim Dance and Sydney Skybetter/skybetter & associates. Taryn is a Part-Time Lecturer in the dance department at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and teaches yoga all over NYC. For more information visit: tarynvanderhoop.com
