SPOTLIGHT: SABRINA KARLIN BFA '18

BFA student Sabrina Karlin, pursuing a second major in journalism, is the 2018 recipient of the Anna and Peter Zenger Award, presented by NYU Journalism and the National Journalism Honor Society to the department's highest achieving student.

"I am incredibly honored to receive this award, and lucky to have studied the field at such a pivotal time in our history! The crossovers between my two majors have been most exciting to observe: great writers, like great performers and choreographers, work from a place of clear intention, and with the purpose of distilling complex issues into work compelling on a very human level."

This summer, Sabrina is headed to the Sundance Resort in Utah to perform as featured dancer in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! She looks forward to returning to New York in the fall to continue her performance career, with side pursuits in freelance writing and dance film.
