Arts Professor, cari ann shim sham* tours her newest generative AI self portrait

Arts Professor, cari ann shim sham* is madewaves at the Texekspressionizm 2025 festival, featured prominently in exhibitions across Uzbekistan. Her work, titled "Body Waves Morph #60/107," exhibited at the Contemporary Art Museum of Uzbekistan in Tashkent on September 25, 2025. This successful exhibition then toured to the Art Station in Samarkand for a showing on December 12, 2025. The piece continues its tour to reside at the American Corner in Qarshi from January 22 to May 21, 2026.                    

A pioneer in digital sculpture and visual experimentation, shim sham* is set to participate in the Techspressionism Round Tables at the American Makerspace in Qarshi on Thursday, May 21, 2026 - 9am EST 2026. She will join fellow artists Lucy Boyd-Wilson and Annette Weintraub in a discussion on 3-D GLB digital sculpture and XR world creation, sharing insights into her creative process and the tools she employs.

The upcoming event aims to engage students and young artists, leveraging the new Makerspace to foster innovation and experimentation in digital art. Participants will explore software and hardware tools, with shim sham* discussing her platform preferences in softwares, platforms, and artistic techniques.

As a prominent figure in the Techspressionism movement, cari ann shim sham* continues to push boundaries, blending technology, generative AI, and art to create immersive, thought-provoking works.
