"Street Dance (1964-2025)" to premiere in exhibition

Thursday, Jan 22, 2026

Street Dance (1964-2025), directed by Collaborative Arts' Visiting Assistant Arts Professor Katherine Helen Fisher, will premiere inside of Dancing with a Page in Hand, an upcoming retrospective on post-modern choreographer Lucinda Childs' work, curated by Lou Forster.

Shot by Collaborative Arts' Associate Arts Professor Bill Tunnicliffe and Assistant Director of Technical Operation Alan Winslow, the film is a re-enactment of Childs’ seminal site-specific work. Childs and David Thomson performed the dance a few blocks from its original location in November 2025. Lucinda Childs' voiceover for the film was recorded in the Collaborative Arts recording studio with assistance from CA student Sam Miller. CA students Abraham Chan Gomez, Claire Austin, Veronica Piurek, Max Wang, and Aileen Shin also contributed to the production.

The exhibition opens on January 30, 2026 in Reims, France.
