For my internship this summer I worked in the Special Collections department of the University of Baltimore’s Langsdale Library, under the supervision of AV Archivist Siobhan Hagan, a graduate of the MIAP program. I primarily worked on the collections of two local television stations: WMAR and WJZ, inspecting and repairing 16mm film and digitizing videotapes that were then uploaded the Internet Archive and made accessible for viewing and personal download. Additionally, I worked in and became familiar with ArchivesSpace, a “web-based archives information management system.”
