Allison Whalen, Anthology Film Archives, Fall 2014, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
The entirety of my internship was focused primarily on the recent collection of Jud Yalkut's films that were donated to Anthology Film Archives. The collection includes all of Yalkut's work, both his notable pieces and rare, unreleased films, on super 8, 8mm, double 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, and analog video and audio materials. Anthology is planning a potential programming of the Yalkut collection by the middle of next year and my work during my internship will contribute to these screenings as well as future preservations. I really enjoyed my internship at Anthology and each day I was fascinated by the incredible collection that I had the unique experience to work with.
