NYU Bobst Library, Barbara Goldsmith Preservation & Conservation Department
For my Fall 2022 internship, I worked at the Barbara Goldsmith Preservation & Conservation Department of NYU Bobst Library. There, I helped to inspect and preserve films from the Library's Center for Cuban Studies collection. After inspecting, inventorying, and doing research on over 80 reels of film during the course of the internship, the internship helped to reinforced the conservation and collection management skills I learned in previous MIAP courses, and allowed me to gain hands on experience in disciplines such as film scanning.
