No where else in the world can you find the range of disciplines in one school. Over the last 50 years as we forged new programs, built our home in New York and expanded to our global academic centers, institutes emerged. Each are built with shared values, common goals, and a priority for putting students first. The result – a place where artists and scholars create the future.
The Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) Student Chapter at New York University invites you to celebrate Home Movie Day on Sunday November 5, 2017! Presented in conjunction with the Center for Home Movies, this event celebrates the sometimes strange and always beautiful ephemeral nature found in home movies across cultures and decades. Bring your friends, your family, and most importantly your films, videotapes, and digital files for a public screening!
List of playable formats forthcoming.
Students from NYU’s Moving Image Archiving and Preservation (MIAP) Program will be on hand to inspect your media and provide recommendations for digitization and/or long-term preservation.
This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP via our Facebook event page.
