This is your guide to Tisch School of the Arts policies and procedures - matters such as academic standards, grading policies, registration regulations, degree requirements, etc.

This should be used in conjunction with the official Tisch Bulletin, where you will find specific departmental guidelines and degree requirements.

Bobst Library - he 12-story Elmer Holmes Bobst Library, designed by Philip Johnson and Richard Foster, is the flagship of a 10-library system that provides students and faculty members with access to the world’s scholarship and serves at the center of the University community’s intellectual life.

Writing Center - The Writing Center is a place where any NYU student can get help with their writing. The Writing Center is part of NYU's Expository Writing Program in the College of Arts and Science. It is a place where one-on-one teaching and learning occur, as students work closely with professional consultants at every stage of the writing process and on any piece of writing except for exams.

NYU Arts and Culture Network - Formerly titled Student Network Exploring Arts & Culture (SNEAC), this student organization was formed in 2003 to promote discourse on cultural policy and arts management within NYU Wagner, as well as more broadly throughout NYU and across New York City communities. In 2021, SNEAC was reestablished as the NYU Arts & Culture Network (ACN). ACN is dedicated to exploring and appreciating the myriad arts opportunities throughout New York.

NYU Wagner promotes learning in public and nonprofit settings across management, finance, policy, urban planning, health, and international affairs. ACN provides a bridge between these disciplines and the local and national arts and cultural sector. Arts and culture are critical to a forward-thinking society, and ACN aims to raise their importance and effectiveness within public policy and administration.

ACN is committed to promoting equity and inclusion in all aspects of the organization’s operations, as well as advocating for these principals in the greater arts community. ACN welcomes any and all Wagner students from all specializations, whether or not career goals are centered around arts policy.

ACN promotes professional development and leadership within various cultural industries including, but not limited to, visual and performing arts, fashion and design, digital media, arts-in-education, civic engagement, nonprofit arts management, and arts philanthropy and development. ACN engenders conversation on current trends and practices in arts management and cultural policy through discussion panels, networking events, advocacy, and cultural engagement opportunities.

NYU MakerSpace - The MakerSpace can be used for classwork, hobbies, or just for fun. See this link to find out more about what is available, and ask staff for help choosing the best tool for the job. Then, watch the necessary videos and sign up for any bookings you may need to complete your desired trainings.

Users are now required to create a reservation for all your MakerSpace needs, including tables, machines, and trainings. Check out our Training and Reservations page to learn more.

NYU Scholastix - NYU ScholasTix is NYU’s clearinghouse for tickets to the movies, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, sporting events, musical concerts and more, all at a reduced price. This service is available to NYU Students, Alumni and Faculty/Staff.  Select a category on the left.

Music & Dance Practice - The Kimmel Center provides music and dance practice rooms to students to currently martriculated students. These rooms are located on both the 6th floor of the Kimmel Center. Our dance room is on the 6th floor of the Kimmel Center. Reservations for these spaces must be made with a Music & Dance Practice template through a KimmelOneStop Account.

Tisch Office of Career Development - The Tisch Office of Career Development (TOCD) empowers artists and cultural innovators in their transition from classroom to career by helping them develop career skills and industry knowledge essential for professional success. TOCD exists as a complement to Tisch's artistic and academic training, and serves as an active hub connecting the Tisch community to the industry and arts world at large. By providing educational programming, counseling, and a variety of other career-related resources, TOCD takes a comprehensive approach in its multi-faceted support of students and alumni.
