crystal marich is a current Arts Politics Graduate Student while also serving as a Graduate Student Employee at NYU’s Center for Multicultural Education and Programs. crystal comes from a youth development and grassroots community organizing background. She has experience designing and developing youth programs for urban Indigenous youth that educate and empower on cultural history, heritage and traditions as well as holistic health.

crystal has also worked as Student Affairs professional at the UC Davis Cross Cultural Center working with Xican@/Latin@, Indigenous and Mixed Race student communities and leaders on retention and cultural programs. Coming from Southeast San Diego, crystal has participated in grassroots youth organizing and direct action efforts that confront inequities and injustices of the US/Mexico border and im/migration systems. crystal attained her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley where she gained her Ethnic Studies education both in and out of the classroom.

She is passionate about respecting and honoring mother earth, cultural arts, liberatory pedagogy, decolonial theory, working with animals, outdoors education, intergenerational organizing, youth empowerment and building sisterhood.
