MA Arts Politics Class of 2011

BA International Relations, Stanford University

M. Scott Frank is a Denver-based philomath. After the Arts Politics program, he has worked primarily in the political arena as a community organizer and congressional staffer. Currently, he is exploring innovative models of community development aimed at inverting prevailing trends of capital flow in arts-based initiatives. He is also working to complete his first novel addressing the conflict in Israel-Palestine, which will come to fruition in early 2016.

What drew you to the MA Arts Politics program?

Arts Politics is a extraordinary confluence of academia and arts practicum. You will notfind a better program that seeks to map the genealogy of expression in modern society while concurrently giving you the tools and institutional prowess to challenge the status-quo.

How did your experience in the program shape your work?

All of my current projects are direct descendants of the Arts Politics ethos. I am truly grateful for the program.
