This exhibition was curated by Michael D. Dinwiddie, an award-winning playwright, composer, and scholar of Black theater. Michael was a beloved faculty member and professor of Dramatic Writing at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study for 28 years; a creative force whose work spanned film, theater, and music; and President of the August Wilson Society since 2024.
