Arts Politics alum Horacio Pérez brings renowned Chilean theater company Bonobo to NYC with a production of Tú Amarás.
Tú Amarás (in English, You Shall Love) and is a play about discrimination towards otherness. The company Bonobo creates shows about violence in democratic contexts with sharp dialogues and dark humor, with a methodology of collective creation based on improvisation and research. The play portrays a "group of Chilean doctors prepares for an international conference on prejudice in medicine, a subject complicated by the arrival of extraterrestrials who have settled on Earth to escape genocide."
Tú Amarás has been presented in Milan, Brussels, Stockholm, Tokyo and different places in Chile. You can catch the U.S. Premiere ofTú Amarás Feb. 13th - 15th at Jerome Robbins Theater at Baryshinkov Arts Center.
