HE[ART]LAND

APP '19 Logan Myles Stacer is exploring social justice as an artist, activist, and cultural innovator through establishing the nonprofit HE[ART]LAND.

HE[ART]LAND works to connect artists, policy experts, and community members across the Midwest to expand its capacity to produce creative leaders. Through arts activism, talent development, and national networking, HE[ART]LAND will reposition Kansas City as a hub for cultural and civic leadership.

The organization recently launched its inaugural fellowship this month. Over the course of the fellowship, ten selected artists will combine their expertise of their respective mediums to address needs identified by community partners in the Kansas City area. The fellowship will include virtual town halls, partnership with community leaders, and live performances of original works that directly respond to the needs of the Kansas City community.

Stacer is serving on the organization's board of directors alongside fellow APP alumna Andrea Ambam ('20).
