Art & Public Policy Professor Anna Deavere Smith Joins The Commission on Reimagining Our Economy

Commission on Reimagining the Economy

Professor Anna Deavere Smith of the Department of Art & Public Policy at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts has joined the Academy of Arts & Sciences' Commission on Reimagining Our Economy.

The Commission on Reimagining Our Economy comprises of scholars, business leaders, journalists, practitioners, faith leaders, and artists from around the country and across the political spectrum. They will assess the impact of the last half-century of economic policymaking, meet with Americans from throughout the country, and generate original recommendations to create an economy that best serves the needs of the American people. Professor Deavere Smith will be exploring the history of political frameworks and create strategies for change alongside other artists, scholars, activists, and cultural innovators.
