In this interactive, on-your-feet workshop you will practice techniques engineered to help you communicate confidently in professional settings. Particular focus will be spent on how to harness the power of tone, breath, and physical presence to diffuse nerves, hone your presentation and communication skills, and successfully connect with an audience of one or many.

Jackie Miller '09 is a communication coach and co-founder of Bespoken, a New York City-based communication-coaching firm offering customized professional development training for individuals and groups. Clients include Oath, Columbia Business School, LinkedIn, NYU and Brooklyn Museum. Jackie finds the audience and performer relationship endlessly fascinating. Before founding Bespoken she amassed over a decade of experience as a director and curator of cultural public programming across New York City. She holds a B.F.A. and M.A. both from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
