Please join us for a conversation on the occasion of Incendiaries: The People’s Flag Show 1970, featuring artist Karen Finley and art historian and attorney Joan Kee with 80WSE curator Howie Chen. Taking the exhibition and its use of the American flag as a point of departure, the conversation will consider questions of political expression and artistic agency. Together, they will examine the intersections of art, law, and symbols in the present.
