Tisch West: Emerging Writers Panel

For writers, the first step towards a professional career often feels insurmountable. Most writers put years of work long before you’re paid for that first gig. And when it does come around – it’s often met with a series of misconceptions.

A panel with a show runner or a successful feature writer often skips some of the beats that actually gets a career started. This panel is about speaking to writers in progress. These writers have taken that first step and are on their way to developing a lasting and full career. While all writers and scripts are constantly works in progress – your dreams can become a reality one step at a time.

Join moderators (and NYU alums) Sam Kirsch and Liz Kerin of Script Prescriptions  as they moderate a panel of emerging writers who have been doing the dirty work. We will begin with a wine reception followed by a panel discussion and finally some Q+A.

Panelists:

Kristina Woo (THE AFFAIR)
J. Holtham (CLOAK AND DAGGER)
Sydney Mitchel (NCIS, Humanitas New Voices Winner)
Matthew McInerney-Lacombe (SPRING OFFENSIVE, The Black List)
