Victor De La Cruz, a visionary and entrepreneur, embarked on his creative journey while studying Computer Graphics and Imaging at CUNY Lehman College. His passion for digital product design, post-production, photography, and video led him to establish a successful creative boutique during his academic pursuits, culminating in a Bachelor of Science degree from the Fine Arts Department.
Throughout his career, Victor has continually honed his skills in strategic planning, operational management, and project portfolio oversight. His commitment to artistic expression led him to showcase his photography in a group exhibition alongside peers from the BFA and MFA programs within the Fine Arts Department.
Victor's professional trajectory includes diverse roles, from assisting photographers on production sets to serving as a render wrangler at Digital Kitchen. During his six-year tenure working with esteemed clients such as The Bronx Museum of the Arts and their curators Sergio Bessa, Lia Zaaloff, and Judith Steinberg, Victor forged strong professional relationships and contributed to the success of venue rentals and exhibitions.
Transitioning to the educational sphere, Victor contributed his expertise to the School of Visual Arts, supporting initiatives led by luminaries like Alice Twemlow and Steven Heller. In his role as Systems Administrator for the MFA Design Research program, he oversaw the hiring of freelance videographers for the Graduate Thesis Symposium. Victor meticulously documented and edited videos of the lecture series, serving as a content creator for social media platforms such as Vimeo, Instagram, and Twitter.
Driven by a passion for bridging design and technology, Victor pursued further education in User Experience at General Assembly, earning accolades and a scholarship for his dedication. His subsequent role as a User Researcher allowed him to optimize UX Design curriculum and share his insights as an instructor in UX Design and Frontend Web Development programs.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Victor actively engages with communities aligned with his interests in the arts, photography, and product design. As a director of photography and product designer, he continues to push boundaries and foster innovation in creative realms.
