Robert Wei Yang
Assistant Arts Professor
Robert Yang is an Assistant Arts Professor at NYU Game Center, and holds an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design, as well as a BA in English from UC Berkeley.
His work focuses on queer identities, intimacy, and digital architectures in video games, as well as research into emerging immersive media like augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). He is perhaps best known for his game Radiator 2, which has over 150,000 players on Steam. Most recently, he contributed a chapter about the systematization of gender in open world video games for Queer Game Studies (University of Minnesota Press, 2017).
Prior to join NYU as full-time faculty, Robert was an adjunct instructor at NYU, NYU Tandon, and Parsons School of Design.
