Ariana Taveras

Ariana Taveras is the Associate Director of the Masters in Professional Studies in Virtual Production at the Martin Scorsese Center at Tisch School of the Arts. She is also a writer, director, and producer.

Ariana has received four Emmy Award honors for contributions to NBC's Saturday Night Live, is an alum of Tisch School of the Arts, and holds a Masters in Fine Arts for Creative Nonfiction Writing at NYU. She was awarded the Jefferson Award (Nobel Prize for Public Service) for her advocacy around human trafficking, including partnering with The Blue Heart Campaign and addressing the United Nations. 

She co-starred alongside Angela Pietropinto (Goodfellas, Shaft) in Two Teresas, a short film she co-wrote, produced, and directed, funded by The Russo Brothers. Ariana also co-produced and performed in the play WINDOWPAIN. Recently, she starred in Beccs’ music video for her holiday song celebrating queer love, “Before this Christmas Ends.” She is the co-founder of Benedictine Academy's Theater Program with Broadway Veteran Liz McConahay (Cabaret, The Full Monty). She is published in  Creative Outlook Magazine, Huffington Post, and Washington Square Review.
