Emily Andrews
Administrative Director
Emily Andrews (she/her) is a public administrator passionate about advancing arts education and fostering the future of live arts. She brings arts administration experience, a background in dance, and a penchant for collaboration and organization to her work at NYU Tisch School of the Arts Department of Dance, supporting the growth of student artists and their creative futures.
Prior to joining Tisch Dance, Emily managed contracts and artist services, contributed to digital branding and curating of social media, and supported general administrative operations at boutique artist management company Selby / Artists MGMT. Emily was a 2019 Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) Emerging Leadership Institute Fellow. Before pivoting to arts administration, Emily worked as a paralegal at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason and Anello PC and has made freelance writing contributions to Westchester Magazine.
Emily graduated cum laude from The State University of New York College at Geneseo with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Dance. She was a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society, Alpha Psi Omega Theater and Dance Honors Society, and a recipient of the Dr. Myrtle Merritt Annual Scholarship for Contribution to Dance Studies Program. She has fed her passion for the arts by teaching and choreographing dance, and assistant directing various university and community dance productions and programs throughout her education.
Emily earned her Executive Master of Public Administration from NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in May 2024.
