Gabe Fowler runs the Brooklyn art and comics store Desert Island, publishes the free tabloid Smoke Signal along with countless zines, and ran the Comic Arts Brooklyn festival for eleven years. His collaborative covid comics project Rescue Party will be published by Pantheon in 2023.
