Kathryn Gronsbell

Kathryn Gronsbell is the Digital Collections Manager at Carnegie Hall, where she is responsible for integrating digital preservation and asset management practices into activities that support Carnegie Hall’s management and use of digital material. She believes the most successful preservation initiatives are made possible by different perspectives and experiences - and enjoys opportunities to address sustainability in non-archival operations. Kathryn is also an active member of the Digital Library Federation (DLF) Metadata Assessment Working Group, which maintains publicly accessible resources: a framework for assessing descriptive metadata in digital collection through environmental scans; a repository of metadata assessment tools; and a collection of application profiles, mappings, and practices. She holds degrees in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation from New York University, and Film & Media Arts from Temple University.
