It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nonso Christian Ugbode, an alumnus of the Kanbar Institute's Department of Film & Television. He worked as a producer at the National Black Programming Consortium.
Our faculty remember Christian as an incredible resource for minority artists and filmmakers. He was a producer of the AfroPop series co-curated by Edris Alba on PBS. He worked tirelessly with NYU Accra's Real Life Pan-African Documentary festival and helped foster the prize for upcoming and young awards for African and African Diasporic filmmakers and helped get their works on PBS.
