Adrian Fernandez's Solo Exhibit

Photographer Adrian Fernandez opened his solo show "Notes About the Perfect Man" in Havana on Friday, November 6. Adrian teaches the Tisch spring and summer program Photography: On Location in Havana.

After two years without a solo exhibit, "Notes About the Perfect Man" showcases Adrian Fernandez's most recent work related to his ongoing Requiem series. The project based on imagery found in Cuban 20th century postage stamps, panning different periods of Cuba's life as a nation, his different social projects, ideologies and paradigms.

About Adrian Fernandez
Photographer Adrian Fernandez studied at the Superior Institute of Art and at the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts. His solo work has been exhibited in Cuba and the United States, including the Houston Center for Photography in Houston, Texas, and the Center for the Development of Visual Arts and the Juan David Gallery at the Yara Movie Theatre Cultural Center, both in Havana, Cuba. His group exhibitions have been viewed in international venues such as the Art Public Contemporain in France, Paseo de la Reforma, Bosque de Chapultepec in Mexico, and the Paix Foundation of Guatemala.
