The Written Path from Missouri to New York

Grant Mueller is only in high school but he already took a class with an Emmy award-winning writer, met Dennis Haysbert and Eddie Izzard who are starring in the Broadway show "Race," and is writing his third screenplay. What makes Grant s experience so unique? He was able to pursue his passion for writing in the Tisch School of the Arts Summer High School Program. "We started with monologues first, which I had never experienced before," Grant said. "Professional actors came in and performed our monologues. I didn t know what to expect."
