Student Research Fund

In recognition and support of the important contributions made by students to our research community, the Tisch Initiative for Creative Research (TCR) began funding student-led inquiry in 2014. Since that time, TCR has provided over $35,000 in grants to graduate students across 8 Tisch departments, working on projects as diverse as “Motion Capture for Dance Reconstruction” and “Devising Visual Language in Puppetry.” Funds have been used to host research symposia; attend residencies, conferences, and intensive workshops; and pay for 3D printing materials, costume materials, and external collaborator stipends. Prior to 2020, we were able to support travel to Abu Dhabi, São Paulo, and across the US.
