The NYU Climate Art & Action Incubator is a series of climate-themed art events for NYU students during the 2023-2024 academic year, co-organized by Prof. Eric Dickson (CAS - Politics) and Prof. Gesche Würfel (Tisch - Photography & Imaging).

The first event will be held on Wednesday, October 11th, beginning at 5pm. Prof. Gesche Würfel will lead a photo walk and discussion through the Bowery and surrounding areas, focused on climate change and environmental issues such as pollution, light pollution, waste and recycling, and the construction industry. Participants will take photos documenting these issues under Prof. Würfel's instruction. Join with your smartphone or camera, and debrief afterwards over pizza and conversation.

This event is limited to 25 NYU students. Pre-registration is required. Sign up first-come, first-served at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/photo-walk-and-pizza-nyu-climate-art-action-incubator-tickets-731268071487?aff=oddtdtcreator

The meeting point will be in front of 19 West 4th Street. Between the walk and the discussion over pizza (upstairs in 19 West 4th Street), the event is anticipated to run until roughly 8pm.

In the event of sufficiently bad weather, the backup date will be Wednesday, October 25th at the same time.
