Two Trees // by Katia Maciel

Centering on trees, Brazilian artist and poet Katia Maciel will be presenting multimedia performances at the Emily Harvey Foundation on two events, May 10 and May 14, 2022.

In dialogue with an action by Fluxus artists George Maciunas and Jonas Mekas—who planted trees in the industrial streets of Soho in 1968—Katia Maciel will present two video installations complemented by collective poetry reading and experimental sound. "Two Trees" enacts planting through the reading of poems centered on trees.
