Each year, the Italian Heritage and Culture Committee celebrates the contributions of Italians to world culture. This year's Italian Heritage and Culture Month is "A Salute to Actors and Directors," highlighting the achievements of Italians and Italian Americans in film and theatre.

On Friday, November 6, Angela Pietropinto was honored at the Italian Consulate, during a ceremony "Celebrating 41 Yyears of Italian Culture in America." Angela has been in many television shows and movies, including Goodfellas, The Sopranos, Law & Order, Rescue Me, Blue Bloods, and a wide range of other productions. Angela teaches Acting I, Comic Relief, and is the head of the Open Arts Acting Studio, which runs every spring.
