CA/OA faculty member Gustavo Aguilar's and his creative partner, Gaelyn Aguilar's (aka TUG Collective) film, This Part I Carry, is an Official Selection of the London International Screen Dance Festival, 2021. It willl have its world premiere at the festival on Friday, September 24th, 2021.
The collective is also a coalition partner in the Freedom & Captivity, a state-wide public humanities initiative during Fall 2021, bringing critical perspectives from the humanities to the interrogation of incarceration in the state of Maine.
A collection of their work will be featured in a solo exhibition titled sea/sky, blood, earth, you, in the Emery Arts Center, and in the two group shows, Home Fires and What Rhymes with Freedom?: Visions of Decarceration.
